Courtney Blaskower is a California native and multidisciplinary artist and creative director who thrives at the intersection of ideas, craft, and human connection. She holds a B.A. in Fine Arts (Sculpture) from the University of Iowa, with additional study at the California College of the Arts and the Glasgow School of Art, grounding her creative work in both traditional practice and contemporary exploration.
Early in her career, she taught art to children throughout the Bay Area, learning how to connect with different minds, guide exploration, and make complex concepts approachable. She later founded Meddle Studio, a creative incubator where she built everything from the curriculum and brand to the studio space itself, inspiring students of all ages and helping local businesses develop their visual identities.
Today, she leads brand marketing at AppDirect, working with executives, teams, and collaborators to translate complex ideas into strategic, impactful, and beautifully crafted experiences — from presentations and campaigns to digital and in-person brand activations. Known for her calm, disarming presence, she has a knack for connecting with people, distilling ideas, and turning even messy challenges into cohesive stories or experiences.
In her own studio practice, she works primarily in oil while exploring watercolor, gouache, and pastel, moving between small studies and immersive, large-scale work. Across all disciplines, her work is driven by curiosity, attention, and the belief that clarity and insight emerge through doing.
